About the BellaOnline Writing for Children Editor
Annamaria Farbizio

Writing for Children
Annamaria has been involved in writing, teaching and publishing since she first wrote a series of magazines with her sister, when she was eleven years old and her sister was eight. She started her career as a teacher, but she found that she loved writing and editing educational books for children and young adults just as much as teaching, so she tried to find a way to do both. Annamaria has worked in different areas of educational publishing for over 25 years as an editor, product manager, ghostwriter, graphic designer and art director. She and her husband own Leaping Antelope Productions, a childrenĀ“s publishing company that specializes in trade storybooks as well as educational products. During the day, Annamaria is Math Leader and Editor in charge of elementary, middle school and secondary mathematics at CK-12 Foundation, a cutting-edge technology organization in Palo Alto, California. CK-12 is a nonprofit whose mission is to provide free digital textbooks for K-12 throughout the world. Annamaria loves editing, writing and publishing for children and young adults more than anything else she has ever done.
